Hi, as one of the Partners at  Seva House TherapeuticServices I welcome you to Seva House – a  place of healing and giving from the heart.  I graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Social work and then in 2013 with a Masters in Social Work Advanced Practice. I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Specialist Victim Services Counsellor (Tier 2) and Accredited EMDR Practitioner (EMDRAA) who has a passion for working with Trauma.  I have worked for Non-Government Organisations in Early Intervention and Child protection working with families with multiple vulnerabilities suffering from issues such as mental health, drug and alcohol and domestic/family violence. I worked for 9 years for Hunter New England Health as a specialist sexual assault counsellor working with children, adolescents and adults.  In this role, I also provided clinical supervision to Social Workers both individually and in group supervision and consult with other teams.

I have been working in private practice since 2016 providing therapy to children adolescents and adults. I provide clinical supervision both individually and group to social workers and other professionals who are working in both government and non-government sectors.I am an External Supervisor and Casual/Sessional Academic for Universities for Social Work students doing Bachelor and Masters of Social Work placements.

I love the therapeutic work that is involved in the therapeutic relationship and have a strong passion for learning and upskilling, to always be informed to provide the best practice that I am able and this passion spills over into my love of providing Clinical Supervision. My practice comes from a non-judgmental, respectful stance practising mindfulness both within and outside my work.

I prefer to see the person and not the label and work from the understanding that they are the expert in their lives. Taking the time to really find out what matters to each client, to fully listen and see each and every client as a beautiful human and not some problem to be fixed. I work extensively with those who have experienced complex trauma such sexual abuse either historically or recently, PTSD, domestic/family violence, depression, anxiety, addiction, personality disorders and other mental health issues. I also work with young people who have caused harm to others.

I facilitate groups for adults and children who have experienced trauma such as Wrapped in Angels , Mindfulness and the Hoarding program Buried in Treasures. I develop and facilitate training programs for professionals along with my partners here at Seva House. I am an Accredited EMDR Practitioner and a member of the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). I am a Clinical Resource Therapist (Advanced Ego States) which is a trauma informed empowering psychotherapy based on the understanding that the personality is composed of parts.  That working directly with the part facilitates a quicker, deeper and longer lasting change. I am a member of the Association of Contextual Behavioural Sciences (ACBS)  I  have trained extensively in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) Mindfulness,  Radical Exposure Tapping (RET), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Relational Frame Theory (RFT) along with other evidence based therapeutic frameworks.

I look forward to meeting you and working alongside you on your journey of healing.
