Hi, Welcome to Seva House. It takes a great deal of courage and determination to see a therapist. It will be an honour and a privilege to travel alongside you on your pathway in achieving your therapeutic goals.
I began my journey working within the human Services in welfare back in 1995 as a volunteer telephone counsellor at Lifeline, while I studied at TAFE towards Community Welfare Diploma. In 2009 I graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Social Work.
Over the years I have worked with a wide diversity of people within both the government, non-government services and International in the Solomon Islands.
My have extensive experience working alongside people who have experienced: sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief and loss, life adjustment, aged care, carers, chronic illness and people struggling with powerful emotions such as stress, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have also worked with young people who have caused harm to others. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, women, and men of all ages.
I have worked with such a wide variety of people this has led me to become experienced in a number of therapies including Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Radical Exposure Tapping and Resource Therapy. I am a Clinical Resource Therapist which is a trauma informed empowering psychotherapy based on the understanding that the personality is composed of parts. That working directly with the part facilitates a quicker, deeper and longer lasting change.
I have just stepped out into Private Practice, 2 days per week, with other Accredited Mental Health Social Workers who share the same social justice values as myself. We are all authentic and compassionate around providing a non-judgemental, safe, and nurturing space for people who have experienced significant challenges in their lives or who would just like life to feel different to the way it currently does.
I am available Thursday and Friday 8.30 – 6.30.
